New 3 month CRF Mini fertiliser now with Polyhalite for improved colour
Aitkens is excited to announce the launch of a new range of slow release fertilisers from ICL. The Sportsmaster CRF Mini range, available from Aitkens, is designed for use on turf cut above 6mm, so is ideal for use on tees, fairways, sports fields, lawns and amenity turf. It is a welcome addition to an already impressive inventory of products.
This latest range of slow release fertilisers - excluding 19-19-5 - now contains Polyhalite, a naturally occurring mineral source of potassium, calcium and magnesium to enhance turf colour, turf quality, turf vigour and growth rate. Polyhalite is a low chloride fertiliser, and being a natural product with no chemical processing makes it suitable as an organic source of nutrients.
This product is ICL's highest coated slow release fertiliser containing polyhalite, with the outer polymer coating covering the inner sulphur layer, which in turn covers the urea core. Within these two coating and core are the three nitrogen contents that ensure an immediate uptake.
The Polyhalite is combined with Poly-S, a controlled release nitrogen source that provides a slow release nitrogen source over a period of three months and is triggered by moisture permeating the outer polymer channels, through micro-channels in the Sulphur layer and into the nutrient core where the urea is solubilised.
Once solubilised the urea travels back through the same pathways where it is released and made available for plant uptake, meaning the fertiliser is released at an optimum rate for plant uptake, whilst minimising the risk of leaching losses.
The product comes in a wide variety of analyses, each of which has been designed to support a wide variety of turf types throughout the year. The analyses include 24-5-11, 20-5-10, 19-19-5, 15-5-15 & 10-5-21, which are available to provide surfaces with valuable nutrients and nitrogen from the beginning to the end of a season.
