Advisory

Aitkens can now offer an advisory service designed to suit your club. This work is carried out by our Technical representatives who all have many years experience in the sportsturf industry. They will arrange to come and meet you and talk through your requirements.

After discussing we will arrange to carry out a thorough soil analysis to determine any underlying problems you may have. Once we have the results we can tailor a programme based on the findings and the requirements stated on the first visit to suit your budget. The programme will include important areas such as cultural practices, nutritional inputs, weed control and pest control. This is a free service that Aitkens offer and you are under no pressure to use it or its programme produced.

Contract Spraying

Aitkens have provided the turf manager with the best pesticides and chemicals over the years. We now offer a contract spraying service to offer the turf manager the complete package. By using fully accredited spray operators and officially approved products we offer a service second to none.

Contracting (Scotland Only)

Over many years Aitkens have built up a very successful contracting division. It comprises of the very latest machinery including the Toro Procore, Vertidrain, Graden, Turf Iron, Uniseeder, Topdresser plus many more. These machines will be delivered to your club ready for use. Our staff all have a wide range of experience from greenkeepers and groundsmen. We can also install synthetic ditch bankings, drainage, revetment, relevel and relay bowling greens.

Another area of expertise is our maintenance division. We now offer to look after bowling greens etc. This stops the club having to invest in capital equipment or extra staff. We will arrange monthly visits to your club to carry out nutrition, weed and pest control, scarification and other duties required. At the end of the season we will carry out aeration and top dressing etc.
